Kyla Wapshott spent her childhood ‘away with the fairies’, daydreaming when she should have been looking out for traffic, her nose always wedged firmly in a book. Now she writes stories about those dream visitors; monsters and myths that look nothing like us yet always have something wise to teach us about ourselves. She grew up in Australia before moving to the UK and getting to see a real ruined castle for the first time, though sadly no ghosts.
She has a BA Hons in English Literature and Creative Writing and lives in Bristol with her husband, two sons and a black cat familiar that judges her in the sweetest possible way everyday.
